SENIOR HOME SALE QUESTIONS FOR PENNY

PROVIDER'S QUESTION

A senior couple that I am helping will need to
sell their home this fall, but they don't know
when they will be ready. They are also waiting
for a apartment to be ready for them at a senior
community. How flexible are your closing dates?

PENNY'S ANSWER:

Completely flexible. This is how it works: We
sign the papers to purchase their home, and give
a general closing date. However, we stay in
touch with the senior homeowners so that they
can change it if needed. We could go from a
three-week closing, to two months, back down
to three weeks, up to three months again, and
there is no penalty to the seniors for the
changes. It's what our service is about - to
center the closing completely around their needs.

This Month's Guest Article:

By Sylvana Rinehart, Benevia Transitions Manager

Who said moving gets easier?
Have your clients' families ever sought
your
advice on how to deal with their loved ones'
seemingly dogged resistance to a move? And
they add that “They have bingo every Tuesday

In this article, we will take a look at some of
the
less apparent, stress producing ingredients
inherent in moves through the eyes of a
professional in the transition field who has
moved over fifteen times and on five continents.
"Who said moving gets easier?
Whoever said that must not have moved around
very often..."
