1.  Back Pain
pain
Ow!  My back!  Yardwork, raking, getting the garden ready, cleaning up the yard, and all those days of shoveling...  back pain is one of the most painful things, and one of the most annoying, causing irritability and distracting you from things that you would like to put your attention on...  especially as we come up to the fun summertime.  It is time for you to address your back pain, or any areas of pain.  Pain relief is one of the easiest things treated by Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine.  And I would love to help you!  Click here for more information...

Call 860.536.3880 today for relief.
2.  Allergies
allergies
Allergies can be quite incapacitating.  In children with allergies, I have seen fatigue, eye goopiness, eye itchiness, stuffy nose, and generally not feeling well.  With adults, this all often leads to irritablity.  Asthma and eczema sometimes occur as well.  Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine can offer great relief and increase your energy level.  The very best plan is to come in for treatments one month before the pollen starts to prevent symptoms, but if this is not possible, the sooner you come in, the better so that we can get your symptoms to go away.  People also have allergies to dust, mold and other allergens that are all-year long, and Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine give relief for these as well.  I have gotten many people off of pharmaceutical anti-histamines, allergy medications, and inhalers.  I would love to help you!  For more information...  Also, for more information, I am giving a talk at Puritan & Genesta on Tuesday, May 24th with a wonderful healthy dinner for only $10 (Call 860.536.3537 to reserve your spot!)

3.  Fertility
fertility
When we look at nature and the animals, we are reminded that springtime is the time for mammals birthing and birds mating.  Our senses awaken as the crocuses bloom, the leaves of other springtime bulbs start reaching for the sky, grass pokes above the ground, and hints of leaves start on our trees.  Springtime is the time for us to be reminded if we desire offspring.  Helping people get pregnant, have a healthy pregnancy, a healthy on-time birth, and then to have energy once the baby comes are my favorite things to treat!  I have helped many people with conception, healthy pregnancy, inducing, and recovery.  For more information about how Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine can help you...

4.  Menopause
Hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, irritability, mood swings, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and bone density problems are some of the health concerns of perimenopause.   In Chinese Medicine, these are all signs and symptoms of Yin Deficiency.  To be in balance, it is necessary for a healthy balance of Yin (pronounced yin) and Yang (pronounced Yong).  The yin is the coolant or oil of the body.  As we get older, the coolant and oil start running out, like with a car, and it is necessary to bring the body in for an oil change to top off the coolant and oil.  We do this with Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and the perimenopause symptoms above go away.  By restoring Yin, we also aid the body to live a healthier and longer life.  As we leave the most Yin time of year, the winter, it is time to restore your Yin.  I would love to help you!  For more information, watch this movie of Diane Sawyer...

5.  Weight Loss
Time to shed that protective layer of warmth.  Shorts and bathing suit weather is in the near future!  Weight loss is also important for your joints.  Any extra weight can put extra strain on one's back, knees, ankles, and feet.

Acupuncture helps to rewire the body to cut food cravings and improve digestion and metabolism to help balance body functions and help with weight loss.  Acupuncture has helped make weight come off patients who weren't even necessarily trying ot lose weight... because their body was getting into balance.  Ear points are the key to weight loss.  Ear points are included in Full Acupuncture treatments.  The Hunger Point is one of these important ear points.

The springtime is the season when the Liver is the most active, also known as "Liver Time."  Springtime is when the flora and trees are re-awakening.  The plants and flora cleanse the air and water, just as our Liver cleanses our blood.  Springtime is the season for Detoxing.  Our Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Stephanie Bethune, is guiding people in 3 or 6 week Detox Programs.  Acupuncture with Dr. Megan Marco is an integral part to support you during Detoxification.

6.  The Blues
Now that the days are becoming longer and longer, you may be starting to notice that you should be feeling happier and happier.  But perhaps you are not, yet.  Seasonal Affective Disorder, Depression, or Anxiety may still be holding on, and you are ready to feel better.  Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine have been used for centuries to treat these matters of the mind and spirit.  For more information...

7.  Facial Rejuvenationhappy woman
Would you like to erase five to fifteen years of aging from your face, naturally, no chemicals or surgery, and bring out the inner Radiance and Beauty of you?  If so, Facial Rejuvenation, also known as Acupuncture Facelifts, is what you have been looking for.  Dr. Megan Marco has been trained in this for over eight years.  She loves to help you feel even better when you look into the mirror.  Watch this movie of Dr. Marco's teacher, Virginia Doran...
