A little background: From our experience, Chinese Herbal Formulas last forever. Just leave the cotton in the bottle or add cotton back in to absorb any moisture. A few years ago, the FDA mandated that herbal companies put an expiration date on herbal formulas. The companies follow this rule but informed practitioners and consumers that the herbs are still good after the date on the bottle. This is great news -- you can keep herbs on hand and keep them in case any health concerns come up!
