BACK TO SCHOOL AND TIME FOR STUDY!
School is coming, and now is the time to help your child's focus.
Acupuncture helps to:
- improve the circulation of the brain
- balance the nervous system
- wake up the brain naturally
- calm the nervous system
- allow for better focus, concentration, and memory -- the secret ingredients for a good student and good test-taker.
Did you know that the brain of a person with ADD or ADHD is similar to that of a brain falling asleep? Hence the theory that amphetamines like Adderall and Ritalin will wake up the brain to help with focus.
Unfortunately, these stimulants may have harmful side-effects. Over time, they may cause permanent effects as the stimulants "re-wire" the brain. If a person is already using these medications, Acupuncture can help alleviate the side-effects which can include dizziness, sleeplessness, dry mouth, and abdominal pain.
On the other hand, and bright side of things, Acupuncture helps the brain to "wake up" naturally and focus better. Acupuncture helps to recircuit the brain for long-lasting, life-long clear, focused thinking.
I have experience helping children and adults with memory, focus, and concentration, whether they are in school, work, or life. Through the use of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, I have helped children and adults come off of the stimulants as well as avoid ever taking these drugs. I have helped diminish the side effects these stimulants, as well. And I would love to help you and your family.
Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine is good for everyone, whether a person has a diagnosis or could just use a little help. |
Focus and Attention are important for test-taking throughout school, especially for exams like the SATs. Acupuncture & Chinese Herbs can increase Focus and Attention. How does Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine work?
Specific Acupuncture points stimulate brain activity and free up energy throughout the body. For example, if a person has tight neck and shoulders, an excess of energy is wasted holding this tension. With Acupuncture we change the signals of the muscles of the neck and shoulders so that they release and more circulation gets to the brain.
Another example is if a person has allergies. Extra energy is being used up dealing with the allergies. With Acupuncture, we balance the immune system to decrease reactivity to the allergen so that this energy can again be used for focus, concentration, and memory.
In addition, I will determine your Herb Type. There is a specific Chinese Herbal Formula for each person to balance you and help you to be your optimal health so that you can focus... just in time for school!

1,800-year-old Herbal Recipe Fights Side Effects of Chemotherapy
"Cheng, who also is co-chairman of the Consortium for the Globalization of Chinese Medicine, has spent several years incorporating traditional Chinese remedies into modern medicine. He's not the only one. A paper published in the June issue of Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, noted that there has been an increased effort to find new medications based on Chinese herbal remedies to counteract the side effects of synthetic drugs.
