On Friday, November 18th Rabbi Bruce  and Nancy Goldwasser will be in town and attending services. Rabbi Goldwasser was the rabbi of Etz Chaim from 1973-1978. Please join us at services and welcome Rabbi Goldwasser back at Etz Chaim.

Adult Education Presents- Three Synagogues - One Special Program 

On Sunday, November 20th, at 2:00 PM, Congregation Etz Chaim of Du Page County  will host two experts on Middle East affairs, speaking on the topic "Israel and Her Neighbors: Opportunities and Challenges." Hanukkah Gift Bazaar- December 4th- Calling all artists and crafters, it is almost time for the Hanukkah Gift Bazaar! The bazaar will be held on Sunday, December 4th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the social hall. If you are interested in a table please call or email Leah J. Sisterhood Zumbas!- RECAP
Sisterhood kicked off our monthly meetings with Zumba, an aerobic dance workout. Instructor Laurie took us through invigorating dance moves to hot and spicy music! It was really fun & a great workout!

Religious School I Homework I Youth Groups

We are offering several Shabbat programs for the young children in the congregation. Shabbat Chaverim meets once or twice a month on Friday mornings. Tot Shabbat happens once a month, the little children gather in the sanctuary with their parents and/or grandparents for a short service.  Tot Shabbat Plus occurs five times during the year.  This program meets in the lower level social hall on Saturday mornings. JYG Retreat Weekend- November 18-20

The JYG retreat weekend will be November 18-20, 2011. Information and registration form can be found on the website. Deadline date for registration is November 11th.

 

Shabbat Chaverim

Enroll Your Child in SKIP Now

The SEND-A-KID-TO-ISRAEL PARTNERSHIP (SKIP) program is a special savings plan that helps Chicago-area youngsters 3rd -9th grade visit Israel as an integral part of their Jewish education. Enrollment packets were mailed out the middle of September. Please contact Rachel Wood if you have not received your packet. Read more here.
