An Invitation for Etz Chaim Friends of the Lichtenbergs and of Israel
Bobbie and Gershom Lichtenberg will be back in Chicagoland for the first time two years and have a short time to visit the western suburbs. "We would very much like to see as many of our friends and those who want to know more about current life in Israel as possible, so we would again like to have a party and take some time to answer questions about our experiences in Israel. We are happy to explain any aspect of interest to you and to try to give you some more depth than what you get from the American press."
All are welcome to join us on Saturday, May 21st from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Social Hall at Etz Chaim.
Please RSVP to Gershom if you plan to be there.

Message from Our Educator
In sixth grade the students study all the prayers in the Shabbat morning service. This year I gave the sixth graders homework while they were on spring break. My assignment to the students was for them to take pictures, wherever they were on their spring break, that represented the theme of each of the prayers they studied this year. | |

Family Trip To Israel Being Planned For Early Next Summer
In the past we have offered family trips to Israel. The most recent trip was in 2009 where, as part of the trip, Lian Lucansky became a Bat Mitzvah. We are looking into offering another family trip next summer June 2012. On our past trips we have toured the land by bus, jeep, camel and foot. Every day contained fun activities for all ages. If you think you might be interested in such a trip, please contact Anne Stein. We already have a few families that have expressed an interest. I'm sure families that have gone on our other trips will be happy to share their experiences with you. I can share with you the itinerary from the last trip as I envision the next trip being very similar.
