The Best Snow in Idaho Uncrowded....Unspoiled....Unbelievable

Greetings!
A string of storms is bringing snow to our beloved mountain, and the question on everyone's mind is "Will Brundage Mountain Be Open for Thanksgiving?" We wish we could answer that definitively, but it's a bit too soon to tell. We're watching the forecast and the sky closely, counting every inch and hoping for the best. Here's a little more info on what needs to happen before we'll know when we can open.
We'll be delivering this annoucement and other important information in a number of different ways this season, and you can now choose the method or methods that suit you best. Just go to www.brundage.com/alerts to make sure we stay in touch.
In the meantime, we thought we'd take this opportunity to share some of the the things we're most excited about as we head into the 2009/2010 Winter Season. Brundage Mountain is focusing on adding value to your mountain experience by improving conditions on the slopes, adding conveniences for your busy family, and helping you create memories through our robust event calendar. Big Things are Happening at Brundage Mountain
Slope improvements create better fall lines, more powder lines, and get you straight to the lift (where there are rarely lines).
Engen Extended
The
most noteworthy change is the extension of one of our most popular intermediate
runs, Engen. The bottom of the run has been extended right down to the bottom
of the Centennial and Bear Chairs, so you'll no longer need to 'ride a flat' to
get from top to bottom of that part of the mountain!
Divine Powder Lines
Our
growing crew of tree skiers and riders are sure to notice the extensive brush
cutting that took place over the summer. More than 15 acres of brush has been
cleared in areas around Meadow Bowl, Ranger Trail, and between the Blue Bird
Quad and Alpine. That means those powder lines will be longer, wider and more
spectacular than ever before!

More accessible, more affordable
With 19,000 acres of spectacular backcountry to explore,

This season, our guides are pioneering five new roads

We're also re-organizing and re-pricing our trips. A full-day adventure is now just $239 plus tax. You can rent an entire
SnoCat for a whole day, and hand pick the people you'll share this unforgettable
adventure with. That red-carpet experience now costs just $1600 plus tax.

Take a Break in Comfort
Base area improvements focus on convenience, comfort and sustainabilty
When
you're off the slopes, you'll notice the improvements to the main lodge
immediately. The new paint job is the most obvious change. We choose natural
tones to blend in with the mountain scenery. We've also replaced the roof with
an environmentally friendly new surface. Inside, improvements to Smoky's Pub
will not only create a more comfortable, cozy atmosphere, but should help
improve the speed and quality of our service.
If you need to take a break while you're ON the mountain, we've built two new log cabin outhouses to give you a little more room and comfort during your pit stops. One is located at the base of the Blue Bird Quad, the other is near the bottom of the Bear Chair.
