College in Coatesville Open House Dates- April 7 & 12

Life Transforming Ministries will be hosting two open house events for those interested in earning a college degree through the College in Coatesville partnership with Harcum College. Through this opportunity students can earn an Associates Degree through Harcum by attending classes two nights a week at the Open Arms Transformation Center (643-645 E. Lincoln Hwy.) in Coatesville. Available degrees include Leadership Studies and Human Services. No money for college? Come to the open house to find out how to apply for financial aid that can make your dream of earning a degree a reality. The deadline for the PA State Grant deadline is May 1, 2010. English & Spanish ALPHA course- April 11
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course will meet once per week for 10 weeks beginning Sunday, April 11th at 5:45pm. The course starts with a light supper and then moves into the session. Each session people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile.
Questions like-Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?
There is no fee for the course, but a small cost for the participant manual. Both a Spanish and an English version will be run at the same time.

Clean Sheets is for anyone who wants to have their faith encouraged, or those who may not be there yet. This powerful one woman performance is the journey of a young artist caught in a world of drugs and violence, told with humor and pathos, interweaving music and storytelling and ultimately bringing the audience together in a celebration of faith and redemption.

1) David Hall will moderate a panel discussion on Business as Mission. Mike Baer of Jholdas International, Peter Greer of Hope International and Dr. Solomon Aryeetey are the panelists. Learn about the many different manifestations of business as missions and how it is changing.
2) Bob Sjogren, well known speaker and founder of Unveiling Glory will speak on Marrying the Glory of God to World Evangelization.
3) Prof. Dave Shive will be moderator for a discussion on Different Churches, Different Sending Models with panelists Dan Witwer (Hershey Ev. Free), Brad Steele (LCBC), Jim Gibbs (Grace Fellowship in MD), Andy (Living Word York, PA)

Life Transforming Ministries will prepare your income taxes through its annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance outreach. Through this collaborative partnership with the IRS and numerous church and community organizations, volunteers are equipped to prepare basic federal and state tax returns for low and moderate income families throughout Chester County. Last year more than 30 volunteers served 300 plus households and returned over $400,000 to taxpayers.

Fellowship and Prayer at the Double D- April 8
Each Thursday at 8am, pastors, prayer warriors and Christian leaders are invited to gather together for breakfast, fellowship and prayer at the Double D diner (1323 E. Lincoln Highway) in Coatesville.
The purpose of the breakfast is to develop cross-cultural and interdenominational fellowship, promote healthy and trust filled relationships in the body of Christ, and enhance unified prayer amongst Christian leadership.
