PARTNERED SCHOOLS

Fulford Academy continues to extend its partnerships with boarding schools in Canada and the US. This year more students, who are better prepared linguistically and culturally, have received offers of admission to the top boarding schools in Canada and the US. Even more students, who have already received offers of admission, are attending Fulford Academy this summer to further their preparation for their next school.

During the year, Fulford Academy puts great effort into taking students to boarding schools in Canada for school tours. In addition, representatives of boarding schools come to Fulford to give presentations about their schools and to also recruit students directly from Fulford Academy.

To help students with their admission requirements to boarding schools, Fulford Academy has become a test center for MELAB, which can be taken instead of TOEFL. Additionally, Fulford Academy now offers a MELAB prep course to help students prepare for the test.

Fulford Academy

Fulford Academy's venue (a beautiful 16th Century Surry Style Manor) truly mirrors that of a traditional English style boarding school. Our school is small by design and its purpose is to focus on the individual needs of our students. With a 50 student capacity, our maximum classroom size is only 10 students. When students arrive at Fulford Academy, they will be placed in a class according to language ability which is determined by an entrance test, as well as by age and grade appropriateness. With the help of all of our teachers, residential staff and administrative staff, we can provide an English only environment to support a strong foundation in English such that students will be prepared to succeed in their boarding schools next year.

Typical weekday schedule:
 8:30 - 9:50      Class 1: English Foundation

Stories from Fulford Alumni

Dear Mrs. Suzan Kendall

How are you, Mrs. Kendall?
This is Heui Jae Pahk, Ki Joo's father in Korea. (Can you remember me?)

First of all, I'd like to express my sincere thanks to you and Fulford's staffs for supporting and encouraging Ki Joo all the time when he was in Fulford.

As you may heard from Ki Joo, Ki Joo is successfully finishing his grade 12 at Albert College, and he has been admitted to both University College of  London (University of London) and University of Toronto, and I think he prefers to studying in University College of London, UK. This is really excellent and wonderful thing for Ki Joo and our family.

Thus I must say my sincere gratitude again to you and Fulford staff, for your kind and excellent cares toward Ki Joo all the time while he was studying there. I know Ki Joo loves you and Fulford very much, and I am sure that you and Fulford would remain as all the good memory for Ki Joo and family here.

I wish you would make good success all the time with encouraging, caring for students like Ki Joo, and Fulford Academy would be a wonderful school years long.

Thanking and our Best Regards,
Yours sincerely,

Heui Jae Pahk
