Small Beginnings, Big Impact!
Betty Alonso, Associate Director of Programs for the Dade Community Foundation, began her journey with grassroots grantmaking one summer when she was in college - working on a grassroots project with youth.

We recently talked with Alonso, the newly elected Chair of Grassroots Grantmakers' Board of Directors, about where grassroots grantmaking began for her.
