MOTORCYCLES “RIDE TO THE SKY” AT THE MT WASHINGTON AUTO ROAD
On June 15, 2006, the Mt. Washington Auto Road will hold the Fifth Annual "Ride to the Sky”. The Auto Road will be closed to cars and will be open for motorcycles only. Hours for Ride to the Sky are 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, weather permitting. The event will include the fifth annual fundraising cookout of the Mt. News from the Mount

MT WASHINGTON VALLEY IS PAR FOR THE COURSE
Some are taken aback when they learn there are ten golf courses within a 30-minute drive of Mt. Washington Valley. Easily one of the golf-havens in New England, the golf courses extend from Bretton Woods to Jefferson to Gorham and down to Ossippe and Parsonfield, Maine (near the NH border) allowing avid duffers to play a different course every day. Enjoy everything from challenging to scenic courses, many with a legacy to match. There are plenty offering lodging from the Mount Washington Hotel’s course to Eagle Mountain Country Club and Hales Location at the White Mountain Hotel. Others, like the North Conway Country Club offer a “locals secret to great food in a scenic location” for enjoying the 19th hole. Whatever the course, golfers will find a new challenge each with a great view, in Mt. Washington Valley’s course. Simply visit MWV Golf for a complete description of the courses and their features, events, hours and fees.

    DRY AND OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce joins Governor Lynch to send the message that despite the unfortunate flooding in the southern part of the state last month, all parts of New Hampshire are open and ready to welcome visitors. Northern New Hampshire was fortunate to escape the spring flooding experienced in the southern part of the state. With the comfortable temperatures and clear weather predicted this week, we anticipate a strong June in Mt. Washington Valley.
