    BREW, WINE & SPIRITS TASTING AND DINNER EVENT
    MOUNT WASHINGTON RESORT ~ MAY 22, 2006
    The Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to present its Brew, Wine & Spirits Tasting and Dinner Event in conjunction with the 8th Annual Business to Business Expo at the Mount Washington Resort on May 22 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Unlike past years, the chamber is excited to include two new additions to the Wine Tasting: Brew & Spirit Tasting! For all you beer lovers out there, this is your chance to sample a variety of beers distributed by NH Distributors and White Mountain Distributors. All wine connoisseurs will be graced with the presence of various wines from Martignetti Companies of NH. And Cold River Vodka will present its clear, smooth vodka with a subtle of sweetness to your taste buds. A silent auction and a scrumptious buffet prepared by the Chef of the Mount Washington will accompany this event. A donation request of $60 and advance reservations is requested for the dinner event.     Annual Garden Club Plant Sale: Attention Gardeners, mark Saturday May 20 on the calendar for this is the event gardeners and those who love plants and flowers look forward to each year. Direct from the gardens of "Green Thumb" members the Mt. Washington Valley Garden Club Plant Sale begins at 9:30 a.m. sharp (no early birds please!) at the North Conway Community Center, located on Route 16 (White Mountain Highway) in North Conway Village, adjacent to Schouler Park. The club will be offering annuals, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets and much more. A selection of new books on gardening and flowers as well as garden and floral related décor will also be available for purchase. The sale benefits the Mountain Garden Club Scholarship Program and beautification projects throughout Mount Washington Valley. The Mountain Garden Club is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.     Home, Garden & Flower Show at Fryeburg Fair Grounds, May 19-21: Bigger and Better than ever, take in 60,000 square feet of exhibits centered around of indoor home and garden related businesses and demonstrations. Attend the Meet the Chefs cooking series where regional chefs prepare specialty dishes, floral demonstrations & more. Over 200 businesses from NH & Maine will be on hand to offer advice, new products and services and more. “Our emphasis is on the home, then lawn and garden products and services, and then flowers,” stated show organizer, Karla Ficker. “Unlike flower shows that are held in winter, ours is a spring show and vendors are able to offer both flowers and nursery stock ready for planting. We feature floral arrangements throughout the shows and cut flowers for visitors to purchase, but the primary flower emphasis is on the garden and landscapes,” said Ficker.     29TH ANNUAL TASTE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
    MAY 19, 2006 ~ MOUNT WASHINGTON RESORT
    Enjoy a weekend that includes find culinary delights. A fundraiser for the American Culinary Federation, the Gala Dinner features the culinary talents of member chefs from the American Culinary Federation White Mountain Chapter of New Hampshire. The White Mountain Chapter is a non-profit organization. The annual Taste of New Hampshire dinner raises money to help young culinary students become future chefs.     BARNSTORMERS CELEBRATES 75TH ANNIVERSARY
    The Barnstormers Theatre, the oldest professional summer theater in the U.S, is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a fabulous line up of performances this summer. Now, added to their evening performances, a 2:00pm Saturday Matinee will be offered for every play this summer. Ticket prices are Evenings: $25 & 27 for the orchestra and $22 for the balcony; Matinees: $20 & 22 for the orchestra and $17 for the balcony. Here’s the full line up for June and July.
