Dusty Roads

Wicked Plants: The Exhibit continues at the NC Arboretum until September 3. This fun and family-friendly exhibit gives visitors a hands-on experience with some of the world's most diabolical botanicals ~ without the risk of pain, poisoning, paralysis or passing on!

Dusty Roads Photography by Barbara Sammons is on exhibit until September 23. A photographic collection of classic cars and old trucks that were found as Barbara traveled the back roads of North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Fridays at the Falls - Every Friday in August, 11 AM - 12:30 PM 

A complimentary guided hike (with paid Park admission) out to the 404-foot Hickory Nut Falls. The guide will share with you lesser-known facts about the plants and animals found along the trail during summer, in addition to some interesting Park history.  

 

Music on the Mountain Concert Series - August 12, 3:30 - 7:30 PM
Three local & regional bands, featuring headliner Balsam Range from Haywood County and The Harris Brothers from Lenoir, NC, will perform at the Pavilion.

The Buzz on Bees - August 18, 11 AM - 3 PM
Observe enclosed live bee hives, chat with local beekeeping experts, learn about the basics of beekeeping and honey production and bring home local honey and beeswax products.
