March-to-Date  GBAR Sales Volume Continues Strong  Trend.

Residential $ Sales Volume through mid-March was up 28%, and Closed Units Sold were up 11% versus March 2011 . This strong performance in the Greater Binghamton Area  marketplace continues a distinctively optimistic trend - March is projected to be the 9th consecutive month of  positive growth which began in July, 2011.

This is great news for our market and for our REALTORSŪ.

        Keep up the great work!

President's Corner - Pat Kilts

Pat Kilts Head ShotHello fellow GBAR members!  Starting with this issue, I'll be sharing some top-of-mind thoughts with you in every REALTORŪ Review.

Today's Tip is:  We all need to be very careful when listing property that we report accurate property taxes, e.g.,  School, Town, Village & County.

This is an important service to our clients.  When  the purchase contract comes in on the property, the buyer's agent again should be checking the taxes for the benefit of their customer.  The correct amounts can be critical to the financing in the transaction.

Lets all give our clients and customers the professional service they have come to expect.   Hope this is helpful.

Best Always,  Pat

Benefit for Peggy Thomson Raises Over $8000
Peggy ThomsonThe GBAR Community Service Committee Benefit for Peggy Thomson, held at the Texas Roadhouse on Friday, March 9 attracted over 200 friends and family, and raised over $8000 in support of Peggy, who is suffering from cancer.  The fundraiser, which featured great food, raffles of donated gift baskets, 50/50 tickets and lots of fun for all, was deemed an overwhelming success thanks to the tireless efforts of the GBAR Community Service team.
