|
Chris Flisher has been a student of astrology ever since he had his first chart done at age 20. At the time, a perfect stranger asked him his astrology coordinates (birthdate /place /time) and within a few days he had the most amazingly accurate account of himself that he had ever read; delivered by a person who had no previous knowledge of him.Chris has spent the rest of his time researching, understanding, and practicing astrology. Much like medicine, astrology is a practice and a deep complex science/art requiring years of experience and research. Astrologers must work with both scientific data and intuition. Chris was recently awarded a "Top Ten Astrologers" award and is celebrating his fourth continuous year of broadcasting as the host of the weekly radio show, "Turning Of The Wheel" on Contact Talk Radio.

Greetings!
This newsletter offers insights into areas of spiritual development and conscious preparedness, using astrology and mandalas. These two closely-related modalities date back centuries and emphasize motion, evolution, and enlightenment. "The beginning is at one with the end."

"All The World's A Stage ~ The Theatrics of Astrology"
| |
Astrology has suffered like an out-of-work actor over the years. Misunderstood and ignored, the wisdom of the stars certainly holds our curiosity and we all know our signs, but rarely does it make it out of the "entertainment" column of newspapers, websites and magazines. This is a shame, because the amount of information that can gleaned from an accurately read chart can provide insight into any individual's assets and liabilities. When you know these personal traits you are better prepared to make key life decisions. There is simple logic that cements the basics of astrology together, and, in the end, all the world is a stage.
Imagine you are at a theater to watch a performance. The curtain rises and you immediately see the stage sets. Depending on the play, the stage will be set with unique props. Recognizing the scene, sets the stage; literally. In astrology this part of the play is known as the "house." Houses represent where the action takes place in your life. If the stage setting looks like a hotel lobby then you know the context for the scene that is about to take place. The same is true in astrology. If you have planets in a specific house in your astrology chart, you will have context for the action. There are 12 houses in astrology. Each house has clearly defined characteristics. There are many words that can be applied to a house but for simplicity I will provide one word per house so that you can easily picture the scene. The first house represents the self. The second house is responsible for finances. The third house maintains communications. The fourth house is the domain of the family. The firth house rules creativity. The sixth house is responsible for health. The seventh house deals with significant relationships. The eighth house represents regeneration. The ninth house rules adventure. The tenth house is career. The eleventh house is for friendships. The twelfth house rules transitions.
Now that you have a quick glimpse of the scene, we can move on to the actors of the play. In the case of astrology, the actors are represented by the planets. Using the same simple method of one-word descriptions allows us to associate the planets with a key word. This simple approach is really a tease for the depth of astrology, but this method works well for beginners. The Sun stands for the ego. The Moon represents emotions. Mercury controls communications. Venus is the planet of love. Mars is the planet of action. Jupiter offers abundance. Saturn forces us to be responsible. Uranus represents rebellion. Neptune holds the subconscious. And Pluto is responsible for transformations.
As with all theatrical productions no play can be complete without costumes. In this analogy, the costumes are represented by the signs. Using the same simple one-word association we can begin to grasp what the signs depict in the form of character. Of course, people are more complex than one word, but this makes the signs more memorable. Beginning with Aries, this sign is the trailblazer. Taurus is diligent. Gemini is the communicator. Cancer is the nurturer. Leo is the creator. Virgo is the servant. Libra is the judge. Scorpio is the detective. Sagittarius is the traveler. Capricorn is the builder. Aquarius is the humanitarian. And Pisces is the mystic.
When we combine all of these elements together we have the basic ingredients for understanding the truth revealed by your astrological destiny. This can be a truly remarkable experience, for within these characteristics lies your instructions. Your strengths, your weaknesses; your pitfalls and your potential are all clearly evident. The complication comes from making sense of it all. This is where a translator comes in. When your chart is properly cast and interpreted you can understand your purpose. Questions? Monthly Astrology Forecast ~ April 2012
| |
Week of April 2nd
A sense of responsibility should dominate our experiences as the Moon joins Saturn and allows us to express ourselves with a sense of duty. Does this escalate the conversation we are all having? It should; in the best of ways. Yet Uranus continues to stir in restless Aries as it moves closer to a square with powerful Pluto. The mathematics of the universe will surely be present for us the witness the interaction of these two transformative planets. The coming months will see an increase in this type of electrical charge. Rebellion is brewing on a slow boil. Mercury, stations direct, and the power of words remains paramount, so choose your phrases with care.
Week of April 9th
After months of retrograde motion, Mars, the planet of ambition and aggression stations direct late in the week and begins to head forward in Virgo. Details and earthly measures are likely to begin to gel and clarify and a significant weight may be lifted as momentum gathers. If your plans have been stalled, expect them to lift off as traction becomes a reality. Dreams may fly as Venus and Neptune square off in what could be an elusive encounter that clouds the picture. How do we gain clarity if the fog wanders in? The frustration of moving forward could be offset by an illusion of potential. Pause and reflect before acting in haste.
Week of April 16th
Curious Mercury and rebellious Uranus join together this week in the fiery, trail-blazing sign of Aries. This type of intellectual chatter drives conversations and actions of the most impulsive order. This activity, along with the direct motion of Mars, another blazing player brings action, aggression, ambition and even the possibility of anger, to the table. Beware! Mars has been retrograde since late January and, as the ruling planet for Aries, will be surging forward in some tangible manner. This type of energy will be highly likely for any and all cardinal signs, (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) and their elemental counterparts. This is applying energy so the build-up will be obvious as next week it peaks.
Week of April 23rd
Mercury and Mars are now firmly on their way forward and results may finally begin to appear. Action and ambition now come to flower and bloom as Mars joins in with the Sun and Pluto forming an earth-based angle that brings forth fertility. The ground work may be firm, but the potential for rebellion continues to boil as Cardinal activity increases its influence. Cardinality is where things begin. Initiation may be the rite of spring, but as the wheels of justice slowly grind we may see the underpinnings of the unrest that lurks beneath the surface. Could this be the beginning of the change? The dialog has a diabolical tone and the outcome may leave us looking back and wondering.
Week of April 30th
An emotional look at the current scene leaves us questioning as Saturn and the Moon form a harmonious angle to Venus through the lofty air signs, Libra and Gemini. Are we content? Do we find the comfort and the promise we seek? Or are we now convinced the glass is half empty? The devil we know may be better than the one we don't. A long hard look at our position does provide that type of insight and query. Yet this path has a forewarning tone embedded in its very fabric. This intellectual glance may guide us to be thankful for what we've got. Judgments made in haste often lead to waste.
A wise person heeds astrology; a fool accepts it blindly. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Contact me for a professional reading. Accuracy and confidentiality are guaranteed ~ www.chrisflisher.com chris@chrisflisher.com
