Throughout the past 25 years, the Appalachian Community Fund (ACF) has granted over six million dollars to social justice organizations working in Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and West Virginia.

ACF has provided support to strengthen and build infrastructure within our grantee organizations, increase environmental awareness and activism, fight against racism, sexism, and other isms that oppress people.  Our grantee organizations work to provide transparencies in government, educational opportunities, and economic development.

We support areas with little or no access to other financial resources and grassroots groups which are often too small, too new, or working on issues that are too controversial for traditional funding sources.  We have seen many positive changes in the region and are grateful to support the work, the victories and the challenges. 

As we look to our continuing journey toward justice, we ask for your support in strengthening this region of incomparable beauty and richness of culture.
