Now your dog can stay, play and sleep in The Barkley's 10,000+ square foot indoor/outdoor Doggie Day Camp. Nightly rate includes Boarding and Doggie Day Camp fees, comfortable bedding, separate small and large dog sleeping areas, webcam access, 24-Hour animal care supervision, 2 private meal services, and 24-Hour "on-call" veterinary emergency from the on-site Westlake Village Animal Hospital - all inclusive for only $77.50 per/night!

Santa Paws is Coming to The Barkley! | |
Dogs, Cats, Birds, Exotic Animals (& Kids) are welcome to get their picture taken with Santa Paws who will be stopping by The Barkley Pet Hotel & Day Spa Lobby on:
Saturday, December 3rd from 11 am until 2 pm.
Cost is $10 for a digital/email version or $15 for a 4 x 6 glossy with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Westlake Pet Foundation. This is a first-come, first serve event. However, you can register for your pet's spot . With a printed ticket, your pet will receive priority over walk-ins that day!

No Bones About It!

Westlake Village Animal Hospital is always busy around the Holiday time. To ensure clients and their pets have a happy and safe Thanksgiving, we found this great article from the SPCA that offers the following prevention tips:
1) Never give your pets leftover bones, they can splinter and be fatal to your pets!
2) Turkey and gravy make a festive feast for humans but not for pets. Long-term ingestion could cause pancreatitis.

 Please note The Barkley and Westlake Village Animal Hospital will follow regularly scheduled hours during the Thanksgiving Holiday except please note: Wednesday, Nov 23rd: 7 am - 3 pm Thursday, Nov 24th: LOBBY CLOSED Please plan your travel plans accordingly. Due to security and accuracy considerations, we regret we cannot accommodate check-ins or check-outs during non-business hours. Pets not picked up by Lobby closing will be charged an additional night's stay and will be available for pick up the next morning.

Funny Thing Happened |  | |
Where's My Owner?
The other day, a Yorkie was found roaming Westlake Village.
Passerbys thought it was rather strange for a small dog to be amiss from its owner. A Good Samaritan decided to pick the dog up and check for identification, which there was none. But it did have a Barkley Bandana around its neck.
The Good Samaritan promptly brought the wandering dog to The Barkley, knowing the dog could probably be identified by us.
The dog was a client, however, had not been to The Barkley for grooming for several weeks. Thanks to the Barkley Bandana and a search of our records, we were able to reunite this lost Yorkie with its distraught owner!
Don't forget to ask Westlake Village Animal Hospital about getting a microchip so this doesn't happen to your pet! |
