Thank you for spending the last year in prayer for Military Families. We believe that your prayers have been heard, and that God is at work across our nation moving churches and others to begin ministering to our military families.
Here are some of the comments we've received on this series:
"I can't begin to tell you how true this is! While I'm grateful that the Army is recognizing the toll on their chaplains, there are also Navy Chaplains (who serve as IA's as well as with Marine and Seabee Units in Iraq and Afghanistan) as well as Air Force Chaplains who are going through compassion fatigue as well." (Chaplain Burnout)
"Good thoughts and good prayers! I am "borrowing" most of it for my Chaplain Newsletter." (Valentines Day)
"An Episcopal priest was overheard in New Orleans speaking to the Chief of Staff, Marine Forces Reserve on his recent revelation that his church needs - indeed must do more for their local military. A meeting to discern way ahead was scheduled." (Temporary Duty)
"I have been forwarding this series to our adult ministry and outreach pastors who together work a local military ministry out of our church." (Permanent Change of Station)
"Do you have any info on PTSD counseling centers in Colorado? I am qualified as an Army Chaplain retired with a Masters Degree in Counseling and want to volunteer." (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
"I am touched by your commitment to pray for military families. Much attention is given to those who serve in the military, but the same level of attention is not often given to family members, who are as much in need of prayer. Thanks to you and those who pray with you. Please keep it up!" (The World Day of Prayer)
This message concludes the weekly series of Prayer for Military Families. As a follow-on, we plan to offer a monthly series of "God Stories" from the rich military ministries of ACCTS and the other organizations with whom we partner. If you would like to continue receiving these insights in God's work with the military forces of the world, do nothing and they'll keep coming.
