Prayer for Military Families

WOWW

WOWW stands for Wives of Warriors Worldwide.  It was started in 2002 as a ministry to military wives under Officer's Christian Fellowship.  In 2007, however, the Lord broadened their vision to include internationals, and the ministry realigned under the Association for Christian Conferences, Teaching and Service (ACCTS) a ministry to military Christians around the world.

The WOWW staff is comprised of military wives and includes the spouse of a former chaplain and a WOWWwife who helped her husband triumph over PTSD.  To help military wives cope with the growing stresses of their unique lifestyle, WOWW has held more than 35 conferences and retreats both in the US and abroad, offering encouragement, support, and counseling based on Biblical principles

Claiming Romans 15:13 as their key verse "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," the group offers practical advice and other resources on such topics as coping with stress, strengthening marriages, parenting while separated, and dealing with loneliness.  They often minister through the Protestant Women of the Chapel and other military chapel communities to bring hope and comfort to wives  of warriors around the world.  To learn more about this important ministry, go to wivesofwarriorsworldwide.org.

- Father God, thank you for military wives willing to reach out to those who are suffering in the face of continuous stress.

- Lord of all Comfort, continue to bless the staff of WOWW as they minister to your people, let your peace and comfort which pass understanding flow through them to their sisters, and help those to whom they minister feel your power and your grace in their lives as they struggle to keep home and family together while their husbands are away at war

- Jehovah Jira, raise up other ministries to comfort and sustain military families during these difficult times.
