SKILLED WORKERS

NEEDED

Rock Point Church's building project has always encompassed a much broader vision than just erecting a building.  Of course, it has - and will continue to have - the primary goal of reaching this community for Christ.  However, because of the scope of the project there will be countless other blessings that will be experienced during the process.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project is the opportunity to gainfully employ Rock Pointers in the construction industry.  To facilitate this process, we will help coordinate the qualification process for licensed construction workers (and their friends and family) who call Rock Point Church home.

If you are a licensed construction worker and are interested in participating in Rock Point's building project, please attend one of two informational meetings.  On April 10 and May 1 members of the Building Leadership Team will be on hand to provide an overview of how to get involved in this project.  The meetings will be held in the main auditorium immediately following each worship service.   Please stop by the HE BUILDS table for more information or contact Laura George at laura@rockpointchurch.org.

GET INVOLVED!

We can think of several reasons why you may not have gotten involved in our HE BUILDS initiative yet.  Perhaps you are new to Rock Point Church and are just hearing about it for the first time.  Or, maybe, you did not really think this building would happen in your lifetime.  Whatever your reason, now is the perfect time to join this exciting endeavor.  You do not want to miss the opportunity to be an integral part of the extraordinary work that God is doing through this building project.  It is a work that will impact this community for generations to come.

Stop by the HE BUILDS info table and pick up a commitment card today.  Your contribution to HE BUILDS has never been more important to the success of this project.  The construction loan funding will not become available until we break ground in the fall.  So, until then, it is our collective contributions that are paying all the planning and other essential work being done.

We ask you to take four important steps when determining what part you will play in our HE BUILDS initiative:

1.  PRAY
The most important action you will take is to prepare your heart to respond to God's call.  Earnestly seek Him and ask what He desires for you to give.

2.  LEAVE ROOM FOR FAITH
Trust God to provide what He impresses upon you to give.  Our greatest hopes and dreams are just the beginning for God - be courageous and believe.

3.  GIVE JOYFULLY AND SACRIFICIALLY
Scripture teaches us to be cheerful givers, and we know there is no limit to what God will do in and through us if we commit ourselves to live generously for Him.

4.  BE FAITHFUL TO YOUR COMMITMENT
Your commitment is important to Rock Point Church, and to God.  Remain faithful to what you pledge, and see how God blesses you when you keep your promise.

Join us in acknowledging that God is doing an amazing work through our church to reach this community, and the world, for Christ.  Choose to participate in HE BUILDS and be part of this exciting journey.

HE BUILDS

The body of Christ at Rock Point Church is in unfamiliar territory - the building of our permanent home.  Obstacles have been overcome, progress has steadily been made, and lives are already being impacted.  We are experiencing what happens when God demonstrates how He can accomplish great things when His people have extraordinary faith.

We hope you enjoy this special issue of The POINT as we take a stop along this amazing journey to reflect on where we are now, and to look ahead to traveling further down this uncharted path.
