Most homeowner's insurance doesn't cover your home in the case of a flood. Some important information to consider is that a flood can occur in any one of the 50 states. If you live in a Special Flood Hazard (SFHA) or a high risk area with a Federally backed mortgage, your mortgage lender requires you to obtain flood insurance. You can find out your flood risk by clicking the following link.

New land development can also increase the risk of flood. If you are in a high risk area please contact our office for a free, no-obligation quote and keep in mind it takes 30 days after purchase for a flood policy to take effect.
