We hear this many times in the course of our visits to our customers operations. Heater bands are relatively simple devices on the face of it; they are formed to fit a certain diameter and produce a certain wattage at a certain voltage...simple enough.
What is not often considered are things like what temperature do we need, how fast do we need to get to temperature from cold start, how fast do we need to recover during the process, do we have special environments in the plant that require special design features, etc.
Each of these considerations could lead to a different type of heater band being employed that could improve your process, heater lifetime, ease of installation and replacement, cost, etc.
