Taste of Marietta...... Big Shanty Festival..... Acworth Art Fair.... There is so much to do in the Spring in the NW Metro Atlanta area!
We had the honor of making signs for and participating in the Taste of Marietta for the 5th time this year. It is so great that SO MANY of our friends and customers stop by our booth to say "Hi" and catch up! We love to be able to keep in contact with all of you and sincerely appreciate your loyal patronage.
Most of you will be in the down swing from now until the end of the school year. We want to wish you the best with all of those "End of Year" things.... Class picnics, soccer parties and, for some of you, Graduation Parties!

Advocates for Children - Win the DUCKMOBILE!
Advocates for Children is a non-profit organization devoted to serving children and families in Bartow County and surrounding North Georgia counties. Through their umbrella of programs including Flowering Branch Children's Shelter, A Better Way Children's Advocacy Center, and Court Appointed Special Advocates, they strive to one day help create a world where all children are respected and loved, happy and thriving. With your help they can continue to bring hope and comfort to over 2,600 children every year and offer the compassion and integrity that so many children in our community need.
The largest annual fundraiser for the Advocates is the DUCK DERBY. This year's race is the 11th Annual and the goal is to have 30,000 rubber ducks racing down the Etowah River at the Riverside Day Use Area in Cartersville on MAY 12. The person who purchases the winning duck will drive away in a brand new Honda Fit donated by Honda Carland North.
Signs & More has been honored to provide signs and banners for the event. And especially gratifying is designing and wrapping the DUCKMOBILE. Advocates determines the theme for the duck each year. And Signs & More takes it from there. From Design to Proof to Production of the Wrap Vinyl to Final Application of Vinyl to the Duckmobile, Signs & More does it all.
Want to get more involved in the community? Advocates has just the answer you're looking for! Volunteer opportunities abound whether you'd like to help with events, spend some time as a mentor for a child at the shelter, fix a meal for the kids at the shelter, or any number of things, OR BUY A DUCK (OR MANY DUCKS) TO SUPPORT THE ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN AND MAYBE WIN THE CAR!!!!! GRADUATION BANNERS
Does Your Graduate Deserve a Banner? Of course he/she does! The only real question is how big and how fancy? Is it for your front yard or the neighborhood entrance? How many names go on the Graduation Banner? Are you listing the High Schools and/or Colleges they are graduating from? We always suggest going full-color printed graduation banners.
Graduations are heading our way fast! Most schools will be ending in May, so the banners need to go up in late April or early May. Have you made preparations for your graduate? You must plan for dinners, parties and graduation trips. Have you added the banner to your list?
A banner is a great way to say to everyone else how proud you are of your graduate. It also tells your child how proud you are by letting him/her know you want to shout to the world what a great kid you have. Whether you put the banner in your yard, on the fence or hanging from the gutters everyone will know this is your child you are honoring. 
If you are a chairperson of a Homeowners Association, now would be a good time to send out notices to all the homeowners for a list of the graduates in the subdivision or development in order to produce a banner honoring them. This is also a good investment since many times the homeowner resents paying HOA fees since they do not see a direct benefit from the charge. However, when they see their child's name on the banner, they will know the HOA is thinking of them and paying tribute not just to the student but to the parents for their sacrifices as well. When the parent sees the banner, the only name they will see will be their student, and they will see the neighborhood in a whole new light.
