Greetings!

Christmas will soon be here.  This season may be a little more stressful than usual due to the economy.  Let us all remember that Christmas is not about material things, but the spirit of the heart.  It is about family and friendships and celebration of life itself.  We at Signs & More hope the best Christmas Season ever for you and your family.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

CHILD OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT

You do not know me, but I know you.  You are the person who dropped a toy in the Marine's Toys for Tots barrel.  You are the person who filled a basket of food at your church so a needy family would have a good Thanksgiving dinner.  You are the person who took a name off the Angel Tree so a child will receive gifts and clothes for Christmas.  You are the person who dropped your change in the Salvation Army bucket.  You are the person who supports the Shop With a Hero, Shop With a Warrior, Shop With a Mustang programs.

I am the child who sees the shame in my mother's eyes as she asks for food from the local church's food bank.  I am the child living in a foster home because both my parents are deceased.  I am the child of a broken home due to drugs.  I am the child living with a parent with no home, moving from one shelter to another. I am the child you may never see.

But I see you.  Every time we receive a gift, food, money, assistance I see you.  More importantly I see a love that can only come from Christ.  Because I see you, I understand the "Christ" in Christmas.  To you I say "Merry Christmas" and THANK YOU.

IS YOUR MONUMENT SIGN MONUMENTAL?

Many businesses have chosen to display their name by use of a monument sign. Most times this choice is by desire for a very noticeable sign or it may have been municipal code.  Whichever the reason you need to install a monument sign, you want a professional look.

There are many considerations to take into account as to what type of monument sign you desire.

1.      The most restrictive consideration will be your budget.  No need in wasting time working on a project that will blow your budget out of the water.

2.      County or city code.  You may desire a sign twice as large as the municipality will allow.  Get your sign ordinance/permit application so you will know what you can and cannot do.

3.      Where will the monument sign be located?  Visibility should be the first consideration. You do not want to spend your money on a sign that is not seen by the public. Also take into account the terrain surrounding the sign.  You may want the sign in a certain location but the ground may not support it.

4.      What materials should the sign be made of?  There are a number of options of materials for the construction of the sign.  Brick, Stucco, Styrofoam, Aluminum, Stone ect.....

5.      Design, Logo, Style.  This is where your sign designer works with you directly to portray the perfect look for your business.

SIGN OF THE MONTH - US NAVY RECRUITING TRAILER

SIGNS & MORE RESCUES THE US NAVY

A couple of weeks ago, the United States Navy Recruiting Office in Smyrna, GA requested Signs & More to come look at a 20 ft. promotional trailer that had wrapped by another sign company a few weeks before.  There were numerous mistakes made in both the printing and the installation.

Note Images do not go top to bottom and are misaligned

Signs & More agreed to repair the damages done by the previous company.  The best solution was to strip the trailer and start from scratch. The Navy needed the trailer in order to show at an expo in Alabama.   In twelve working days we went from design to finished trailer - including some lights and a roof vent that had been broken.

The Navy got to the expo in time to show off their newly wrapped trailer.   Signs & More is proud to serve those who serve us so proudly.
