Preparing For The Holidays

It's Turkey Time

The holidays are coming on us soon and every year we hear someone say "I am not ready for the holidays."  Yet the Thanksgiving and Christmas season does come every year.  You would think we would know to prepare.  Buy gifts early.  Clean the house early.  Plan ahead for the family gathering.  No, we act as though it is a big surprise that these holidays some how sneak up on us.

So how do we plan early?  Many start on December 26th.  You can get great gift wrapping and decoration pricing on the 26th.  These items never go stale and are always in season (when the season comes).  Find where there is a Chrismas in July sale.  This is a great place to start your gift purchases.  This will also be a reminder to continue planning ahead.  Don't be afraid of purchasing the turkey six months in advance.  Even if you think you are buying a fresh turkey, many times the turkey was frozen for transport.  Write a schedule and keep to it.  Even assign family members duties to follow in the schedule.  The holidays will not be stressful when properly planned. 

SIGN OF THE MONTH - Whole Hawg Happenin'

A Boy's and Girl's Club fundraiser

On October 23rd. the Boy's and Girl's Clubs of America (Metro Atlanta Area) hosted a fundraiser at White Water Amusement Park in Marietta.  The Whole Hawg Happenin' was a great success.  This event promoted many area barbeque restaurants and allowed other venues to join in the festivities.  There were craft booths, local charities, as well as other businesses such as yours truly, Signs & More.  Live music kept eveyone entertained and the event ended with a very colorful display of fireworks.  We encourage everyone to mark your calender for next year's Whole Hawg Happenin'.

 High Plains Western Wear allowed the Boys & Girls Club to advertise on their building with a banner in front and a light box on the side.

Signs & More had a booth at the event and provided signage at a discount for the charity.
