I want to let you know about a few new services at OceanMHS.  There are a couple of new groups being offered, a recent partnership that provides services for the hearing impaired, and a community event - the Race for Respect!  Some of the details are below, but you can always reach out to me for more information.  Also, please feel free to forward this information to anyone you feel may be interested. 
Effective Parenting Group- for Parents of Teens 
Father with Daughter
We are offering a parenting group for parents of youth ages 12-17.  This program will be available in the evenings and starts in early November.  Space is limited!  The group is designed to assist with improving communication, working through difficulties and building on strengths.

Therapeutic Group for GLB Teens

Teens that are addressing issues about their sexuality should join our Gay and Lesbian Enrichment and Education group.  This new group will provide counseling and support for teens ages 15-17.  For more information please contact Julie Knowles 732-269-4849 x623 or Kim Veith at 732-269-4849 x621.   
 
Services for the Hearing Impaired
OceanMHS has collaborated with St. Joseph Medical Center of Patterson to provide outpatient therapy services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing at our Manahawkin location.

RunnersRace for Respect - 5K Run/Walk
Join us at Wells Mills County Park on November 6th for our first Race for Respect 5K Run/Walk.  The entry fee is $25.  Register before October 22nd to receive a $5 discount!  Early registrants will also receive a race T-shirt!  For more information, or to register online, visit our race website at www.oceanmhs.org/5k-2010.
