SHARING POSITIVE CHANGE IN 2012!
| |
Healing Hope is now offering consultations for pets and their people, and we have teamed up with a few dynamic practitioners to offer you additional modalities to service a broad range of client needs. We will be incorporating new services and practitioners slowly, and look forward to introducing them to you!
Dr. Hebbler by demand has been offering nutritional consulting and homeopathy to humans, and will be incorporating Marylea Toher and Jenn Wolfe into the Healing Hope family.
Marylea is a B.E.S.T (Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique) practitioner available to people and animals. B.E.S.T. is a non-forceful, hands-on energy balancing procedure used to help re-establish the full healing potential of the body, balancing and aligning mind, body & spirit. Click here to learn more.
Jenn is an Ondamed practitioner, and uses a battery-powered biofeedback device to determine which frequencies of sound, (as well as the accompanying weak pulsed electromagnetic fields), cause a response in a patient's autonomic nervous system. Temporary stimulation by these frequencies, combined with the patient's cognitive and non-cognitive participation, promotes relaxation, muscle re-education, and rehabilitation that returns the body to its former state of wellness. Click here to learn more.
Healing Hope's new website will be up and running soon, with many new articles, helpful links, and weekly blogs! Check back for more information!

Be Aware of Holiday Dangers Pointsettias & other plants: While Poinsettias are not poisonous, the alkaloids in the leaf tissue can cause irritation to the mucus membranes of the mouth and throat, and gastric upset. Be aware that ANY plant treated with a systemic pesticide when ingested can reach a lethal dose. Please visit the ASPCA website for more holiday safety tips and information on all plant toxicity. The ASPCA 24-hour emergency poison hotline directly at 1-888-426-4435.
Tinsel& Ornaments: While not toxic, tinsel is very attractive to pets, particularly cats. The shiny, dangling decoration reflects light and can move in the slightest draft - appearing to come alive to watchful critters.
The problem with tinsel is that once it's consumed, it can cause serious injury to your pet. If not caught in time, this foreign body ingestion could actually be fatal as it twists and bunches inside your pet's intestines. Immediate veterinary care is required.
Bright and colorful tree ornaments can attract your pet's curiosity. Place glass, aluminum and paper ornaments higher up on the tree. Pets can chew and swallow these fragile objects and not only can broken pieces form sharp edges that may lacerate your pet's mouth, throat and intestines, they could also create a choking hazard.
Cooked Bones: While we highly recommend raw meaty bones for dogs, cooked bones of any type can be extremely hazardous, and can cause intestinal perforations. Home cooked leftovers are wonderful, but carefully remove all bones before offering. Cooked Fat: Cooked fat is also very dangerous, and moderate doses can cause acute pancreatitis. This includes the subcutaneous fat that is located in poultry skins, and fat trimmings off of meat and bacon. Chocolate is not good for pets, and can be very toxic, including wrappers, and cellophane. Many do not know that a small amount of milk chocolate usually does nothing more than give hyper sugar & caffeine high. Bakers chocolate, dark chocolate and artificial sweeteners such as xylitol are EXTREMELY toxic, and need immediate emergency Veterinary Attention.
Please call your local 24 hour CVS (California Veterinary Specialists) and page Dr. Hebbler at 877-738-4673 option 2 immediately should you suspect any exposure to these holiday dangers. |
