The Body Frame Stretch

Stretch Canvas
How to stretch a canvas for painting.

In this episode I get myself all wrapped up in the process of frame building. It's because I believe every great piece of art needs a strong foundation. In this episode I show you how to stretch a canvas around a frame making the perfect surface for myself to be laid out on to be painted. It's a strong yet flexible foundation and you really can't ask for more than that.

How to paint a self portrait
In this episode I show you how to paint a self portrait and the thought processes that goes through the mind. It's all about the layers, most people end their painting project prematurely without getting the pleasure they can actually achieve from doing themselves as a piece of art. I show you how to take your time and build the surface by touching the canvas over and over again. It's all about taking the time to really experience the experience and all its pleasure

 Pumpkin Man

Pumpkin carving techniques, tips and ideas
In this episode, I invite my actor friend Larry Haney aka The Pumpkin Whisperer to help me with my Halloween show. He really surprises me with his pumpkin whispering techniques. At first I think he's a fraud but then he really gets my attention when he does his thing on my pumpkins. It's almost scary as he really lights it up and gives me Goosebumps at the same time. You're going to love his techniques.

I'm doing this again but I'm not sure for how long.

Greetings,

HeadshotNews

Some people don't understand what I'm doing on my show and they may wonder what's with all the sexual references. If they know me from real life or they may know me as Barbara the faux painting teacher, then they should understand this is a character I've created. I don't usually go around flirting with every man that crosses my path and I don't get turned on by everyone I meet, though I'm sure its possible because at the heart of all of us is love no matter how well disguised it may be.

Sex is one of the most beautiful and powerful expressions we have but most of us don't experience it to its capacity. It's the one process that got us all here in the first place and then we're too blinded by distractions to really learn and understand it and all of its potentiality. I think life would so much better if everything was a turn on as it is with The Handy Goddess. She's always happy and everything is exciting and possible in her world.

I've had a few teachers in my life that have had a profound effect on me and one of them is Laurie Handlers with Butterfly Workshops. She is a sex educator, author, and intimacy coach. I've yet to meet her in person but I'm sure I will be attending her workshops at some point. I think everyone should learn from her or someone like her.

It's said, if you don't like what you're doing, then why are you doing it. And I love doing my show. I totally enjoy dreaming up sexual references that relate to home improvement. It just makes the creative hosting process so much more fun. And I don't think I'm the first one to relate sex to home improvement, just take a half hour and go sit in a plumbing supply store and listen to the language used there.

We can all use a little more humor in our lives so that is why I do this show. I do it for myself and also do it to add some lightness to the topic of sex and hopefully make people smile in the process while teaching them a few things.

In honor of my nomination

Aphrodisiacs and Sausages

"How to make gluten free vegan sausage"

In honor of my nomination for a Taste award, I thought it only fitting to do a cooking show. The Taste Awards mainly revolve around cooking shows but it's also for fashion and lifestyle programming on the TV and on the web.

Being that I'm an almost full vegan and that no other shows nominated demonstrate vegan cooking, I felt obligated to do my part and put on a vegan show. So in this episode I take off my hard hat and put on my chefs hat.

It was great fun being in the kitchen demonstrating how to make homemade tofu sausage. Oh sure it's easy if you use wheat gluten for vegan sausage but I wanted this gluten free. So even though I ran into a little problem and was hoping for more of a sticky situation, I simply used my resourcefulness and pulled of a tasty meal.

Because this was so much fun, I decided to do more vegan cooking episodes. So stay tuned in through the Holiday season for more cooking and baking with The Handy Goddess.
