Love Chair One
How to build a furniture frame

In this episode I show you how to build a visible exterior frame by joining several boards together and then cutting out the shape with my jig saw. For the interior frame I simply constructed it using 2x4's to make a solid structure that is hidden in the chair. However I think next time I would build a lighter frame to make the chair less heavy.

All of this was a bit of a challenge for me as I've never built anything like this before or even joined boards together for that matter, but I have watched the process some time ago with a carpenter that I was dating. I do always take away the important stuff from my relationships.

DIY Upholstry Project

In this episode I put a dark stain on the exterior wood frame and then I begin the amazing process of upholstery. I walked into this with the spirit of I can do this it can't be too difficult. But I certainly learned that like any trade there is much to learn and know very little about upholstry. But I did seek advice from some professionals however; I was never able to actually see how it's done but went for it anyway.

I knew I would create something that I was basically proud but would be lacking the perfection of a professional. That is all I can hope for when people learn form me when watching my instructional DVD's on painting so I was content with that for myself in regard to upholstery.

I'm hoping you're looking forward to this year as much as I am. I had the pleasure of ringing in the New Year with some very lovely and spiritually minded people in the film industry. It was truly a special gathering and I hope to carry in that energy to the new year.

I've got a few shows planed and one is I'm going to be painting myself a new 2011 boyfriend. I'm real excited about that but I think the process will take me into the next month so maybe that will be my Valentines show.

But to start the year I'm going to finally fulfill the request of a long time youtube subscriber and make an indoor raised container garden. I've really wanted to have my own large container garden for planting an herb garden for myself. I would have planted one in the ground but because of my two beautiful coon hounds needing to mark the entire yard with their scent, I didn't think that would be wise. So I think this will be the perfect solution. I'm planning on designing one that could be easily be constructed by anyone even if they live in an apartment so we can all have gardens anytime of the year.

Guns & Shooting Balls at Christmas

Ball Crash News
Christmas Ball Blasts

It was a real dilemma for me on what to create for a Christmas show, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to make and film the process of. Then I came across a video contest from one of my youtube friends, Ericsurf6. He put out a challenge for us to be entertaining while knocking over some cans. I thought this could be great fun especially if I used my staple gun to shoot the cans; however I'm a person who doesn't drink anything out of a can so this was a bit disturbing for me to have to round up some light weight cans. So then it hit me that I must simply bust some balls and that would be my Christmas show.  It was great fun to do this episode but because I bent the rules too much I was disqualified from the contest. I'm sure there will be another Ericsurf6 contest that I can nail in the future.
