Wood Duck Farm
February 21st, 2012
A few weeks ago we started offering items from other local artisan producers, as well as from our working farm kitchen. We basically did this as a response to requests from our farm CSA members desiring local items like honey, eggs etc. Well we decided to take it up a notch and work with a schooled chef and offer seasonal food items as well. Or in the morning, or in the afternoon . . .approx. 8 oz. @ $9.00 Honey from Reed Family Farms* Many of you know Wendy as the "Honey Lady" down at the Saturday Urban Harvest Farmer's Market. Wendy, her husband Kenny, and their bees produce 100% pure, local honey from the rural areas and sustainable farms of Harris, Montgomery and Waller counties. Their guarantee to you, our customer, is that they only deliver a product that is of the highest, most pure quality. It is never massed-produced commercially; it is instead sold in small micro-batches to ensure this honey is a fresh & locally-produced, nourishing food. Their local honey is always harvested within a 75 mile radius of Houston proper. 24 ozs @ $8.00 Farm Kitchen Soups This Week: Chicken with Wild Rice*
