Wood Duck Farm
December 1st, 2011
Interested in seeing our farm, but have not had the time? Then you're in luck as this coming Saturday, December 3rd, We
are having an Open House here at the farm Times are 1:30-dark . We'll have a farm tour, followed by a pot luck dinner. The weather forecast is partly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain, but a little warmer. The freeze last Sunday "toasted" some of our crops, but the good news is that some of the weeds were killed too, We are located about one hour north of Houston, 25 mins from Kingwood and 30 mins from the Woodlands. Directions and maps can be found on our website at Map & Directions to WDF Wish to visit our farm, but not a CSA member? Not to worry, you're invited to our open house too!
What to bring to the Open House? Please bring your own folding chairs, jacket/vest and, if you plan on staying for dinner, possibly bring something for the pot luck buffet like a starch, casserole, dessert, chili etc (FYI we can heat up your dishes if need be.) We are going to smoke a few turkey's for the "protein portions" and possibly have some hot dogs and marshmallows for the kids. A flashlight might be a good idea too. If you are coming please reply to this email by Thursday evening and let us know your headcount, adults, kids etc.
Alcohol ok? This is a family event, so please drink responsibly.
