Wood Duck Farm
October 10th, 2011
We know that all of us have been praying, performing dances, "thinking rain" and whatever else for a long, long time now. Well low and behold most of SouthEast Texas received a good soaking yesterday. Gosh what a blessing to have a day where we could relax and listen to the steady falling of rain drops. The fact that the rain came on a Sunday was even more special.
In Our Shares This Week: Fall tomatoes, salad greens, spaghetti squash, green beans, sweet potatoes, and more. Some of these items were grown courtesy of Gundermann Acres, a sustainable grower located down in Wharton County.
Fall CSA: Our twelve week program began last week, but not to worry if you have an interest in joining as we pro-rate the prices accordingly each week. For those of you wishing to register, please click this link Fall CSA Sign-Up Interested, but ask where do I pick up at? Select this link CSA Pick UP Location Map & Times I need to mention that we now require all CSA shares holders to register their contact information online via our website. Why? This way it helps reduce the possibility of us making mistakes via typos etc. You can still pay with a check or cash by selecting the "manual payment" option vs "credit card/PayPal, during your check out process. If you are splitting your share, make sure you provide their email info as well during your registration process. Lastly, when you register, make sure that you receive a confirmation email.
CSA Open House We're not really sure of a date just yet, possibly Saturday, November 19th.
