Wood Duck Farm

Our Update
...a periodic reflection of what's going on at the farm

Wood Duck Farm

November 5th, 2010

Nice week here at the farm as we recieved about 1 1/2" of rain on Tuesday. Frost on the windshield this morning and cooler temps expected tomorrow a.m., Saturday. Yikes, while we enjoy it not being hot, we're hoping a freeze misses us as our sweet corn is just beginning to silk out nicely.

Smoked Turkeys  With Thanksgiving nearby, we are now taking orders for our smoked turkeys. Our turkeys are brined and smoked with red oak grown right here on our farm. We will have a few locations around the Houston area for you to pick up your birds a few days before T-day.

Prices are as follow:

 10-12 lb. dressed bird $42
12-14 lb. dressed bird $49
16-18 lb. dressed bird $63
