Christmas (or not!) in July (15, 16, 17)
This pattern is part of Kay Bergquist's (Vermont Quilt Design) Holiday Cabin series and was recently pictured on the cover of Keepsake Quilting! (but I picked it for camp first :)) Although it clearly has a Christmas flavor in these colors, it is versatile enough to be fall, summer, or spring depending on your color choices. It finishes 65" x 65". You'll learn a very efficient cutting method to create the log cabin blocks, practice Y seams for those LeMoyne stars, and add in those great pieced tree blocks.
Our summer retreat runs from about 3:00 on Sunday afternoon until just after lunch (around 1:00) on Tuesday. We stay at the beautiful Seyon Lodge in Groton, Vermont. Lodging and all meals are included. You will be sent a supply list about a month before Kamp begins.
There are 15 sleeping spots available. First come (i.e. with a deposit), first served. Generally, you will need to share a room (and sometimes a bed) with someone. If you have preferences about sharing, please let me know when you register. If you would be willing to become a day camper (see below), let me know that as well.
There are an additional 6 spots available as "day campers". This option will include both dinners and lunches, but no breakfast. You may stay at the lodge as late as sewing is still going on and arrive just after breakfast.
From there, I will begin a waiting list. If there are cancellations, I will call you in the order you are placed on the list. In the event that the combination of day campers and waiting list totals another 15 people, I will open the possibility of a second retreat time. The date for this remains tentative but will likely be August 5, 6, 7. If these are preferred dates for you, please make note of that when you register.
Full Retreat: $225Day Campers: $145
Deposit: $50 due at registration, remainder due upon arrival. Deposit refundable until June 1. Refundable after that if there is a waiting list to fill your spot.
