Mad River Quilting
Fall 2010 Classes & More
Greetings!

There's lots going on here at the shop as we enjoy the last of summer and many of us prepare to head back to a new school year.  New fabrics continue to arrive and displays are constantly changing.  Stop by to see all the latest additions!

The new website is up and running!  Check it out at www.madriverquilting.com.  Some changes are still being made and new items will continue to be added.  I'd love your comments and feedback.  Just click on the "contact MRQ" tab and send me a note.

The fall class schedule is outlined below. All classes are held at Harwood Union High School.  Email lisat496@gmail.com, register on my website, or stop by the shop to be added to the list.  Payment is due the first night of class.  Once you are registered, I will forward the supply list for your class.  All fabric purchased for a class will receive a 10% discount!

As the temperatures begin to cool and we prepare to be inside more often, I hope you all find some stitching time to create beauty and feed your passion.

Sincerely,

Lisa Therrien

Beginner Plus level
Mayfly Mischief

The beginner plus level is for those who have some experience with sewing and rotary cutting (don't worry, we'll review!) and are ready to learn tips and techniques to add triangle points to your pattern.  Keep your fabrics fun and whimsical like the sample or change to more sophisticated florals.  Complete a twin top as shown or add one more border to make it double bed size.

Scrap Therapy
Folklorika

Do you already have a fabric stash?  Feeling guilty about all those pieces just piled around the sewing room?
You need ~ Scrap Therapy!

I am so psyched about this new program!  I'll be offering at least one Scrap Therapy class a semester.  This is the perfect chance to use LOTS of your scraps in beautiful patterns.  Pick a theme, pick a color, or just pick a scrap bucket!

This queen/king pattern is great for fat quarters but you can also use strips and other pieces as small as 2" x 3"!  We'll do a lot of cutting during the first two classes as we prep pieces for this quilt AND organize any extras to be ready for the next series.

7 Mondays beginning Nov. 1
5:50 - 7:30 p.m.
$45 includes a project bin!
