National Family Caregivers Month

► November is National Family Caregivers Month. Caregivers may call themselves husband, wife, parent, son or daughter, but they play an important role in caring for loved ones. While this care is given freely and lovingly, it can be stressful. At Lutheran Services in Iowa, we celebrate family caregivers and offer programs that assist them as they take on this vital role. LSI's home health care programs provide important services including home visits by skilled nurses, homemaker services to assist with light housework and respite services for those caring for someone with a physical or mental disability. At LSI, we are here to support this important group of people who take on these rewarding responsibilities. To read helpful tips, go to www.lsitips.com. |

November Artist of the Month
Awe-Inspiring Compositions of the HeavensNovember Artist of the Month is Jerry Pottorff, a self-taught Des Moines artist who began painting and drawing as a young child and has continued his passion for creating cutting edge art throughout his life. His work today is very distinctive, combining his artist talents and life-long fascination with astronomy to paint the eternal beauty and awe-inspiring compositions of the heavens. Don't miss it as it hangs on the walls of Weertz Fellowship Hall during the month of November.
