Introducing
a New Ductless Heat Pump Preferred Product List
The NW DHP Project is pleased to offer the Ductless Heat Pump Preferred Product List as a resource for utilities, contractors
and consumers. The Ductless Heat Pump Preferred Product List includes important
product information such as energy efficiency ratings, tax credit eligibility
and indoor/outdoor unit capability. Utilities, contractors and consumers can
use this list to identify energy efficient units available in the marketplace.
Manufacturers can use this list to communicate information about their energy
efficient products. To view the Ductless Heat Pump Preferred Product List and
criteria for inclusion, visit the
Manufacturers/Distributors > Product Information section of www.nwductless.com.
To inquire about adding products to the DHP Preferred
Product List or for questions, please contact Erica Thompson at ethompson@fluidms.com or (503) 808-9003
ext 107.

Best Practice Installation Guide
The Project recently developed a Best Practice Guide for Ductless Heat Pump Installations. This contractor's guide provides information and
suggestions to help installers achieve successful DHP installations. Copies of this guide will be mailed to all
Project oriented contractors in June. We encourage you to download and review
this guide and have it available to contractors for their reference. A limited number of weatherproof guides are
available through the Project - please contact Emily Martin at 503-808-9003 x.
135 or emartin@fluidms.com for more
information or to place an order.

Torque Wrenches
Project contractors are being advised to use a torque wrench
when connecting refrigerant lines on all ductless heat pump installations. Many contractors have contacted the Project
inquiring about where to obtain proper torque wrenches for the systems they are
installing. The Project will be
directing contractors to distributor partners to obtain the needed tools; please
let us know what torque wrenches you stock and any other information on torque
wrench availability at your location by contacting Emily Martin at 503-808-9003
x.135 or emartin@fluidms.com.

Installations at Columbia Hills Retirement Center
The Project would like to recognize
the completion of 33 Mitsubishi single zone ductless heat pump installations by
Columbia NW Heating in the Columbia Hills Retirement Center in St. Helens,
OR. The multi-unit application was
facilitated by Columbia River PUD. The
Center's manager commented that the installer did a wonderful job installing
the units and the residents are very happy with the comfort the ductless systems
are providing. |
