Richmond Drainage Improvements: Richmond/Eastside Intersection Construction Tomorrow |
Richmond Construction Traffic Control Alert:
Beginning tomorrow morning, lateral drainage work on Eastside will begin crossing Richmond and traffic will be significantly disrupted through the intersection.
As digging begins to install the large junction box at this intersection that will tie the new lateral line on Eastside into the coming storm sewer improvements on Richmond, traffic control will be put in place similar to that currently in place just west of Kirby.
Two lanes in either direction will be maintained east and westbound through the Eastside intersection. Westbound lanes will be split around the construction area with one lane along the northern curb line of Richmond and one lane along the southern curb line of the center median. Two eastbound lanes will run adjacent to one another on the far south side of Richmond.
Richmond motorists will not be able to turn left onto Eastside during this phase of construction and Eastside motorists heading northbound will be forced to turn left of right as no through traffic will be able to cross Richmond. Southbound traffic will be limited to right turn movements at Eastside during this work.
