Richmond Drainage Improvements: Eastside Lateral Work to Begin Next Week |
Richmond Construction
Work continued this week on the Richmond Avenue Drainage Improvements Project between Kirby and Buffalo Speedway.
This past week crews began digging a pit just west of Kirby that will be used to install a large junction box that will tie the coming Richmond improvements into the Kirby drainage system. That installation could begin as early as next Tuesday.
Next week also expect traffic control to be put in place along Eastside Street south of Richmond. One lane in both directions will be maintained during lateral work, but there will be no on-street parking during this phase.
Please be on the lookout for further updates as work progresses.
Buffalo Speedway Construction
Having completed the pavement and underground infrastructure work on Buffalo Speedway between Bissonnet and US 59, crews are now working to complete landscaping and streetscape amenity installation behind the curbs.
Crews will hope to accomplish quite a bit of work next week. The new signals at the Westpark intersection are scheduled to be turned on next week, pedestrian lighting installation will be ongoing, hardscape and landscaping will be finishing up on both sides of the roadway and the Bissonnet medians are scheduled to be restored.
