Upper Kirby Construction Update

December 16, 2011

Buffalo Speedway
Pavement Installation Underway

Crews Frame the New Roadway

Buffalo Speedway Construction

Pavement installation continued on Buffalo Speedway this past week focusing on the main lanes moving from Bissonnet north to 59. Crews also completed storm inlet work at the Bissonnet intersection.

Crews were able to complete the northbound lanes between Westpark and 59 last weekend as projected. That stretch of roadway has since been restored to three lanes of traffic.

Next week, crews will aim to complete the main lane paving in its entirety. This will leave only intersection and driveway paving, curb installation and sidewalk construction to be completed on the east side of Buffalo Speedway. Crews will break at the end of next week for the holiday and will return after the first of the year to finish up these remaining items.

Look for further updates as any traffic switches will be announced as they are scheduled.
