The Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Program (BPFP)
is in conjunction with the Transportation Enhancements Program. Because of similarities in the programs, applications and funding are undertaken together.
CS FacebookSelection committees look for and focus on specific key elements when reviewing your applications for transportation project funding, such as SRTS or TE.
 
Our experience, seminars attended, and regular research into these programs can help your application process be successful.
 
Below are some tips, guidelines, and links to further information.
The SRTS Planning Assistance program encourages children ages K-8 to walk and bike to school by creating safer walking and biking routes. Some things to focus on when filling out your application:
  • The 4 Es:  Understand the four Es (engineering, enforcement, education, and encouragement) and incorporate them into your project. read more 
  • Selection Criteria:  Know what criteria the selection committee is looking for (potential for success, severity of problem, need, and strength) and the weight of each. read more

Application Deadline:  July 9, 2010
The TE program focuses on projects that increase multi-modal transportation alternatives and enhance communities and the environment. Some things to remember when filling out your application:
  • 12 TE Activities:  To receive funding, you must prove how your project qualifies for one of the 12 activities. read more
  • Relate to Surface Transportation: To receive funding, you must also prove how your project relates to surface transportation. read more
Application Deadline:  August 2, 2010
