The Wisconsin Department of Commerce is accepting applications for its yearly housing rehabilitation grant lottery. This easy-to-apply-for grant is given to Wisconsin communities who in turn loan the money to low-to-moderate income (LMI) homeowners for needed home repairs.  Your entire community will benefit by having its homes maintained. During these tough times, your local carpenters, plumbers, and electricians will have the opportunity to gain needed work.

How Much Could We Receive?
On average communities receive $300,000 to $500,000, with a maximum of $650,000.
Who Can Apply?
Towns, villages, and cities with populations less than 50,000 and located in counties other than Dane, Milwaukee, and Waukesha are eligible to apply.
Deadline
The deadline for this grant preapplication is April 28, 2010.
