If you're a direct consumer click here. http://www.traveltimebar.com/ Not only are the TravelTime Bars a tasty treat they're also good for you. Really good for you. That's because the star ingredient has been clinically proven to support your immune health--providing protection in the kind of crowded environments you encounter when you're on vacation and when you're most susceptible. The ingredient is Wellmune WGP®, a proprietary yeast beta glucan extract with a wealth of research supporting its efficacy. CLINICAL TRIALS In just the last few weeks three studies in the U.S. and the U.K. have confirmed this ingredient's ability to reduce colds and flu. In one study of 100 healthy medical students--a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial--those students given Wellmune once a day for 90 days had far fewer total days with URTI (Upper Respirator Tract Infections) than those given a placebo. "Wellmune WGP activates innate immune cells, the body's first line of defense, which helped students become more resilient to health challenges," said Richard Fuller, M.D., lead researcher of this study which was conducted at the University of Southampton and Southampton General Hospital in England.
Strenuous exercise weakens the immune function making some athletes more prone to infection and illness. Scientists at the University of Houston therefore set up a 10-day test in which 60 men and women endured 50-minute bouts of strenuous cycling in hot and humid conditions. Some participants got Wellmune every day; some got a placebo. Then the supplements were switched. No-one knew who was receiving which. "...tasty and filling. Next time I fly I'm going to pack along a few TravelTime Bars." Data published in the British Journal of Nutrition showed that supplementation with Wellmune increased total and pro-inflammatory white blood cells (monocytes) after exercise--which is not typical after exercise. Noting that more research is needed the researchers stated, "The key findings of the present study demonstrate that beta-glucan may have potential to alter immunity following a strenuous exercise session." Added Rich Mueller, CEO of Biothera, the company that developed Wellmune, "The study confirms previous clinical research showing that Wellmune WGP's support of the immune system has real benefits for individuals under physical stress." So, there's just the latest research on Wellmune but let's not forget that TravelTime Bars also are brimming with resveratrol, the antioxidant that makes drinking red wine so good for you, as well as 25-40% of 15 essential vitamins and minerals. And the bars are not just healthy--they're a healthy indulgence and they continue to get high praise for their taste and convenience. |
