Ralphs Grocery Chain Displays WineTime Bars in its Wine Section

In one of the most important developments since our launch we are delighted to announce that WineTime® Bars can now be found in some of southern California's Ralphs Grocery stores.

Better yet-in a ground-making move-Ralphs is promoting our unique bars in an eye-catching display in the wine section of 24 of its Fresh Fare stores. Both flavors, Chocolate, Dates & Almonds and Chocolate Raspberry, are presented in a five foot high, four deck display rack which holds eight boxes, each containing 10 bars.

We think the Ralphs' concept of placing these bars in the wine section is a superb idea. While the bars are a meal in themselves they pair very nicely with red wine. We are very excited that Ralphs decided to take this innovative approach.

Stores carrying WineTime Bars are located at: Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Encino, Irvine, La Canada, La Crescenta, Long Beach, Los Angeles (three locations--645 W. 9th St.,12057 Wilshire Blvd, and 11727 Olympic Blvd), Manhattan Beach, San Diego (three locations-Hillcrest, Rancho Bernardo and downtown), Marina Del Ray (two locations-4700 Admiralty Way and 4311 Lincoln Blvd), Palos Verdes, Studio City, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Tustin, Villa Park, Westwood, and Woodland Hills. Please stop by and let us know what you think.

No sooner had the racks been delivered to stores than we got this email: "AWESOME!!! I am a rep for a company that distributes this new product. I received the rack and bars today in a Ralph's. Within an hour one box was empty. I also bought one of each to try and have to say once again 'AWESOME.' Thanks for a great product."

WineTime Expands Into More Whole Foods Markets

WineTime Bars are now being sold in an ever-increasing number of Whole Foods Markets.

In the last month the presence of bars on the shelves of Whole Foods Markets in southern California has expanded from four to 10 stores-Hillcrest, San Diego; La Jolla; Tustin; Huntington Beach; Torrance; El Segundo; Laguna Beach , Los Angeles (Brentwood), Pasadena and the brand new Encinitas store which opened on June 29th.

ResVez continues to actively promote bars in these stores with frequent product demos. Response has been fantastic and the Whole Foods teams incredibly supportive.

TV Exposure in San Diego

Our first appearance on TV happened in June! WineTime Bars were included in a morning show segment on San Diego Channel 6 which recommended healthy snacks to pack while traveling.

Segment presenter Mareya Ibrahim (aka "The Fit Foody") pointed out that the bars contain more resveratrol than 50 glasses of red wine and joked, "You can eat this and still drive." She added, "They're like a candy bar but they are actually really good for you."

Morning anchor Heather Myers munched on a bar and agreed, "It tastes like a candy bar. They are really good." Out of all of the products featured it was The WineTime Bar that Heather chose to continue eating and enthusing about as she segued to the weather presenter.

Major Hotels Accommodate Bars

Five new hotels have taken WineTime Bars for their guests.

In downtown Memphis close to "Blues City" attractions is the historic Peabody Memphis, a magnificent Forbes Four-Star, AAA Four-Diamond hotel. The Peabody itself is also a popular attraction with The Peabody Ducks marching to and from the Grand Lobby twice daily in a tradition dating back to 1933. The latest attraction: WineTime Bars. (The Peabody Orlando also has WineTime Bars).

In Napa Valley guests at the luxury Meritage Resort and Spa can now enjoy WineTime Bars. Set against rolling hills with its own private vineyards this idyllic hotel has a lavish underground spa and the most comprehensive event and meeting space in wine country.

Also in Napa the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa recognized the value of WineTime Bars. The hotel recently completed a $7 million two-year renovation and has its own Heirloom Garden which provides daily harvests of organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

And at the northern end of Napa Valley, in the heart of Calistoga, sits the eco-friendly Mount View Hotel and Resort. This hotel which won a "Best boutique hotel of the north" award in 2010 is pleased to offer WineTime Bars to its guests.

In Idaho, the Coeur D'Alene Casino Resort Hotel also features our bars. The property, operated by the Coeur D'Alene Tribe, offers more than 200 luxury hotel rooms, over 100,000 square feet of gaming space and the renowned Circling Raven Golf Club.

WineTime Wins with Wineries

In the Media

In North Georgia Wine Country visit The Sautee Nacoochee Vineyards tasting room at Nacoochee Crossing in Sautee. Discover their fine wines and wine related gifts, gourmet foods and custom gift baskets-including The WineTime Bar.

The equally unusually-named Hard Row to Hoe Vineyard in Washington state also now sells WineTime Bars. Their vineyard is located on the north shore of Lake Chelan. And if you want to find out the story behind the name visit:

In an article in Food Product Design magazine Diane-Louise Hnat, senior technical marketing manager for DSM Nutritional Products, says WineTime Bar, "has a unique moist, fruit-based core enrobed in chocolate, and contains the level of resveratrol found in 50 glasses of red wine--plus the flavor essence of red wine. The product capitalizes on the appeal of fruit, chocolate and the anti-aging aura of resveratrol."

Functional Ingredients magazine: "Resveratrol, believed to be one of the underlying explanations for the French Paradox (why the French do not disproportionately suffer from cardiac and other aging ailments despite their rich diet), has been growing in popularity in supplements and is now moving into new foods and drinks targeted to people who want to look good inside and out."

At the Airport

What's This Food? is a daily web show that profiles unusual food ingredients techniques or dishes. ResVez, Inc. sponsored a segment and host Dan Delaney commented: "WineTime Bar...packs a lot of punch...great for cardiovascular health. You get the benefits of 50 glasses of red wine without the alcohol and without the hangover."

Gift Basket designer extraordinaire Julie Taylor loves WineTime Bars--and so do her clients. Says Julie, 2004 Designer of the Year and owner of A Sweet Adventure in Fountain Valley, CA: "So many of my clients love the idea of having heart healthy bars because heart disease is so rampant. I put WineTime Bars front and center in my displays."

You're at the airport. You're tired and stressed. So you decide to take advantage of a great new spa concept called Be Relax. If you do so at the latest branches of this international chain-their two locations at the Baltimore International Airport-you'll also be able to relax with a WineTime Bar in addition to getting a massage, facial, manicure or pedicure.

New Research Shows Resveratrol May Lessen Scourges of Old Age

A major review of studies indicates that resveratrol "shows promise of lessening many of the scourges and infirmities of old age."

So says Dr. Heather Hausenblas of the University of Florida one of the co-authors of a study called "Resveratrol and health - A comprehensive review of human clinical trials."

The scientists' comprehensive review of research on resveratrol has found that it does have "anti-aging, anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory properties," but there isn't an anti-aging cure in a pill, she cautions.

The authors of the study in Molecular Nutrition & Food Research note that nearly 4,000 resveratrol studies have been published. Their conclusion: "We believe the evidence is sufficiently strong to conclude that a single dose of resveratrol is able to induce beneficial physiologic changes, and that either weeks or months of resveratrol supplementation produces physiologic changes that are predictive of improved health, especially in clinical populations with compromised health."
