Upcoming changes

Some of you may have noticed changes happening at your local Kimberton Whole Foods.  As we begin gearing up for our 25th year anniversary in 2011, you will notice changes underfoot at the Kimberton store location.  Not only have we been here for almost 25 years, but we plan on staying for at least 25 more!  Our building, both exterior and interior, is ready for a fresh coat of paint, a bit more room and a few changes to the current floor plan.  As plans continue to develop we will keep you posted. We thank you in advance for your patience as we embark on these changes.

NEW Kimberton store window art!

Silverware Curtain

Kimberton Whole Foods is so proud to have the original artwork of Michael Petrie, local Garden Artist and featured Philadelphia Flower Show Contributor, in our front window at the Kimberton Location.  The "curtain" is constructed from recycled and antique kitchen silver and utensils, cradling some beautiful live plants.  It's truly a great fit for what we do here at KWF! Thanks so much to Michael and his wonderful crew at Handmade Gardens in Downingtown (www.handmadegardens.net) for this heartfelt donation. The installation will be on display until after the holidays.  Don't miss it!

Would you like a piece of Michael's work?  He creates beautiful windchimes from vintage silverware as well!  Those are available to purchase at Handmade Gardens.

'Ode to Organic Food' Contest Runner Up

Thanks again to all of our 'Ode to Organic Food' contestants.  Last month we shared the winning entry, but couldn't resist posting the first runner up: a poem to be sung to the tune of 'America the Beautiful'.

" Oh beautiful for produce not
   Synthetically dyed,
Not chemically ripened, and
Not steeped in pesticide,
Not modified genetically,
Not radiated through,
But left alone
And gently grown -
Fresh from the farm to you!

Oh beautiful for food that is
Not processed seven ways,
For eggs from chickens free to roam
For cows allowed to graze!
Oh beautiful for meat and milk
That's added-hormone free!
Organic Food!
Organic Food!
What food was meant to be!"
