With the opening of the FY 2012 H-1B Cap Season, it seems that many are reminded of the importance of the H-1B visa program and the hardship imposed on employers by the numerical cap. In Monday's paper, the Wall Street Journal published an editorial by Michael Mortiz, a Welsh-American venture capitalist and #655 on Forbes' list of The World's Billionaires, in which he compares the importance of hiring the best and the brightest in the technology industry to hiring the best professional soccer players.
