| North Bay No Regrets Annual Buckle Up Challenge!
On May 30, 2011 under sunny skies at the North Bay Waterfront, the North Bay Connecting Community Partners in Injury Prevention Annual Buckle Up Challenge took place. Five of the North Bay No Regrets schools came prepared to claim the title of "2011 Champions". Following many elimination rounds, the finals saw Widdifield Secondary School face off against St. Joseph Scollard Hall with Widdifield emerging as the winners for 2011! Widdifield was awarded $150.00 for their No Regrets program and a commemorative school plaque which they will keep for a year.
Thank you to all the student participants and community partners who came together for this event. Special thanks to Gold Fleet Subaru for their donation of two Outback vehicles for the students to use during the event and the North Bay Police Service and North Bay Parry Sound District Health Council for acting as judges for the challenge. We would also like to thank the Chief of Police who was on hand to support the challenge and speak to the media, and the retired police officers and family members also in attendance.

Fall 2011 Training Sessions
With projections to train more schools then ever before, SMARTRISK No Regrets looks to the 2011 training season with eager anticipation! Whether you're in Fort St. John, BC or St. John's, NL make sure you have all the details for the exact date, time and location of your training session.
In addition to a series of regional face-to-face training sessions, for the first time this year No Regrets will be training most returning schools through a two-hour online conference training session that can be attended from the comfort of your own classroom! The two-hour conference training session will be followed by an optional follow up conference call with the staff advisers and student leaders from each school.
All staff advisers should have received training registration forms in June. If you would like the email to be resent to you please send a quick note to noregrets@smartrisk.ca. See you in the fall!

Youth Advisory Team Update
The 2010/2011 YAT team has been busy at work making monthly conference calls to discuss ways to improve our SMARTRISK No Regrets teams at home and across Canada. Our phone meetings help us inform each other about activities that our own schools have been putting on. This inspires us to get more creative and it opens a lot of windows to new ideas. This year we have come up with new fundraising ideas, great new promotional merchandise ideas, and we've all produced some feedback as to what SMARTRISK can do in our own schools and communities to get more people involved and draw in more interest about the program.

Hellos, Goodbyes, and other Staff Updates at SMARTRISK
While some of you are relaxing and enjoying the summer sun outdoors, the SMARTRISK Youth Team will be hard at work over the summer months taking in all the feedback from the past year to deliver the best possible program moving forward in the Fall of 2011.
We've also recently experienced a few exciting staffing updates that we're pleased to announce. SMARTRISK is happy to welcome Vice President Sarah Marshall back from maternity leave and to welcome Emily Driscoll on board as Youth Program Assistant.
