Auditions for Fall Musical (RENT)
August 26th & 27th at 6:30pm in the Mraz Center
What you need to know:
- This is an open 'cattle call'. Students do NOT need to sign up for a time.
- You must be ON TIME. You will have your picture taken in the Mraz Center lobby prior to auditioning.
- You MUST bring your $30 activity fee (check preferred made out to BHS). If you do not have your payment, you will NOT be allowed to audition.
- You will need to bring the SIGNED forms (both parent & student) from the audition packet.
Each auditionee will be required to:
- Sing ONE song from the audition packet based upon the character they are auditioning for.
- A second song of their choice should be 32 bars of a pop/rock song or from a contemporary rock musical (Superstar, Chess, Aida, Movin' Out, etc).
- Auditioners need to provide sheet music for the accompanist when you sing your personal song. (No accapella.)
- All auditions will be on stage and sheet music can be used (but make sure you have a second copy for Nicole.)
- If you are auditioning for numerous characters, you may sing two song choices from the show and forego the other personal song selection.
- Call backs are scheduled for Monday, August 31st at 6:30pm.
- Dance auditions will be held at that time for those called back.
If you have a conflict with audition dates, the directors are accepting video auditions. However, the video must be IN the hands of Randy Day or Nicole Marschall by 3pm on Friday, August 28th. No late submissions will be accepted.
Audition packets will be available for download from www.theatreBHS.com by Sunday, August 23rd, if not before.
