Small Steps

A journey of a thousand miles begins with
a single step.

Try This:

I'm still on the mainland and living out of a hotel, which is always challenging.  But this week I've been splitting meals with my husband and enjoying some meals that I wouldn't normally choose.  I've also been ordering meals that I can box up half for my lunch the next day.  This is really helping me learn that smaller portions ARE sufficient for me.  I'm still working on developing that belief, as my first reaction (before I've even taken a bite) is "it's not enough".  I'm looking forward to creating this new portion control habit.

Will you split a meal this week?
How'd it go?

I've lost weight twice before but I gained it back eventually.  This time I'm determined to keep it off and I realize that it's not a one time fix.  It's a journey.  And as with all great journeys, you learn as you go.

I take these small steps with you each week because I also need to build and maintain the habits and behaviors that support me in my journey.  Thanks for joining me each week.  Have fun and enjoy your life!
