I'm one week into my trip and it's time for a review of the plan, and of course a reality check.
Here are the things that worked for me this last week at the conference:
- I wore my pedometer and got over 5000 steps on the least active days of the conference. It helped that my room was on the opposite side of the 32 acre property. Okay, I probably wasn't quite on the opposite corner but...
- I went for 2 walks and got to the resort's gym twice.
- Yes, I ate higher calories meals but I left food on my plate every time (and it was more than just the parsley).
- I visited a Weight Watcher meeting located nearby and got re-motivated for the week ahead.
Looking ahead at the week with my husband:
- I started out with a bit more alcohol and food than normal, but I think that will calm down.
- I will definitely make sure to get a good breakfast with protein, so that I'm not starving and willing to grab anything by lunch.
- I plan on lots of walking, so cross your finger for no rain.

The majority of [people] meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail.
